When I wake in the morning, I love it when my first thought is; “Thank you, Universe, for another day to experience joy and create happiness and abundance.”  I feel full of Love and ready to create another amazing day.  I share my attitude of gratitude and abundance with everyone I meet and feel connected and empowered.  I know it’s going to be a great day!

However, when my first thought isn’t so wonderful, I know it is imperative to have something or someone to inspire me.  Otherwise, it’s easy to fall into a pattern of self destruction. For this reason, I have created a First Aid kit for my Soul.   I have a vast supply of sources of inspiration.  I love nature and I love running by the river and falling into the GAP while listening to my music playing loudly through my ear buds.  I also love yoga; especially hot yoga.  There’s something magical that happens when you connect to your inner wisdom during a yoga session.  I love to draw, and also spending time loving up my dog.  I’ve made a point to participate in Deepak Chopra’s 21 Day Meditation Challenge.  There’s a new session beginning August 5th, and it’s free!  Check it out at Chopracentermeditation.com.  It’s a wonderful way to experience meditation in just 20 minutes per day! I never thought I had time to meditate, but those 20 minutes every morning have changed my life.

Another “go to” inspiration for me is my “A Course in Miracles” studies.  It’s a course of learning that keeps me connected to the Source.  I used to share my reading insights with my brother,  Robbie, and he would concur with similar insights he received during one of his many “dark nights of the soul” he encountered while dealing with the AIDS virus and it’s debilitating effects.  I realized then, all paths do truly lead to the one Universal Source.

What inspires you?  What is your “go to” place for inspiration?  What fills your heart with Joy?  It’s important to nurture and care for your Soul.  Our Soul is our foundation; our springboard for experiencing happiness and creating abundance.

Do you have a First Aid Kit for your Soul?  If not, it’s time you create one.  Think of all of the people, places or things that inspire you.  Perhaps it’s simply a method of quieting your mind and allowing yourself to connect with your Source.   Make a list and keep it in a place you will keep in mind to look.  When we’re disconnected, it’s hard to remember how to reconnect.  If you have a First Aid Kit for your Soul, with inspirational tools and guidance, you have an invaluable tool to remind you how to get back on track.

When you’re in a place where you’re feeling disconnected; ask for help.  We’re under immense pressure from people, especially ourselves, to believe we need to know how to fix the problem, figure out the answer or find the solution, when all we really need to do is stop, and give it to a higher source.  Allow the weight to be lifted from your shoulders, and ask for guidance from your Source.  I’ve done this many times when I have faced situations that brought me “dis-ease”; literally.   When you let go, the answer comes to you.  There is a higher power at work, and help is only a request away.  Have faith…

We are very fortunate to be living in an age where our resources for inspiration are abundant.  With so many opportunities to grow beyond our walls, there is no limit to where we can go!  The world is at your command and the tools are at your fingertips.  You can create happiness and manifest abundance in this world of illusions and dreams.  It’s simply a matter of changing your mind, and putting your energy and thoughts into motion.

Keep up Now ~ with the stream of higher consciousness and stay connected to the Source.
