Homophobic Letter

Mailed to Jim Koury, Editor/Publisher, Diversity Rules Magazine, by Linda Hall

Well, folks, when I think I have seen just about everything, something comes along and dispels that.  I received the following letter in the mail from a woman named Linda Hall, accompanied with a copy of The Daily Star article announcing my resignation from my City Clerk position.  I know who this woman is, and she does know my parents and despite all that, she felt compelled to express her sympathies to them over my being queer, and other homophobic thoughts in a letter to me.

Clearly she does not know me well enough to know that I don’t ignore things like this.  I face them right up front and put it out there for all to see.  So Linda Hall, I feel very sorry for you and your ignorant perspective on homosexuality.  Your tunnel vision ignorance just reinforces my zeal to combat you and your ilk point blank, right between the eyes.

No need to feel sorry for my folks or for me, for that matter, as they are quite accepting and love me for who I am and I am quite happy in my own OUT skin.  It is unfortunate that people like you cannot see people for what they are, human beings, who just happen to be different than you.

So hey world, read this little gem, and if you know Linda Hall, you tell her Jim Koury got her silly letter and has displayed her ignorance across the Internet for all to see.

You have a nice day Linda Hall.

The letter in all its glory:

“To Jim Koury,

I’m very disappointed in your overt behavior regarding your homosexuality.  Your parents are two of the nicest people I’ve ever known and they don’t deserve to be hurt this way.  It hurts me to know how they must be hurting.  After your father tried so hard to help you get that City Clerk job, he can’t feel too happy you’re leaving it so soon to advance the aggressiveness of homosexuals.  I mean really, why should anyone feel sorry for you guys who choose to kiss each other’s dick?  If that’s your preference, which goes entirely against the bible, what’s there to be proud of?  Everyone in life has a cross to bear.  Why should you be any different?

The younger generation feels empathy for your group because they haven’t had to grow up watching older fags always trying to recruit the younger ones.  That’s why they were shut out of the Boy Scouts and should never be let back in.

So please, stop hurting your parents and making a mockery of yourself by flaunting your sexuality.  What’s next a sex tape on the Internet?  I wouldn’t be surprised.

Linda Hall”

  1. Very sad. I wouldn't post her letter because she is not worth the energy. Not to mention she is not going to care, since it is a gay magazine…do people she knows read it? Just sayin. Sorry she sent that to you…it's scary how hateful people in the world can be.

  2. Yea I know what you are saying, but you know, on the otner hand I think these very ignorant people need to be called out and held accountable for their craziness. We all know they exist and walk among us, but why not expose them for the small minded people they really are publicly? LOL.

  3. Her generation of intolerant bigots will hopefully be the last of their kind. All we can do is take a step back and look at how far we've come in the last 20 years. So much progress and we have many open-minded straight folks to thank for recognizing our equal rights as humans and Americans to have the same open, happy lives as everyone else is entitled to in the country.

And that Linda should be prepared for a karmic smack-down. She's setting herself up for a real duesy!
