Welcome to the May issue of Diversity Rules Magazine. The year is flying by and the yearly pride celebrations shall be upon us with the advent of the month of June!
This month Diversity Rules Magazine welcomes Pierre de Villiers as its cover feature interview. Pierre is a “screen star turned author” in South Africa. He is a household name in South Africa due to his internationally recognized reality self-help book ‘Dear Pierre’ which sold out within 8 weeks in South Africa as well as being a TV continuity presenter for the country’s national broadcaster SABC 2 in years gone by.
Pierre also gives back to the community by lecturing communication studies at the University of Johannesburg (UJ) after resigning as youngest editor of the SA Military Medical Journal with the military rank of Captain. While lecturing at the University of Johannesburg he does his training as therapist and sets up shop in private practice which causes considerable media interest.
Pierre will also be a guest on Diversity Rules Magazine on the Air on May 7th LIVE at 7:00 p.m.
This month’s issue also has some interesting articles including a feature about a new documentary book about drag queens, as well as a book by Hans Hirschi about LGBT family life that does not hinge upon the stereotypical manifestaions that we see in the media and on TV.
