Welcome to the September issue of Diversity Rules Magazine. I am really excited to have Rob Ordonez as this month’s cover feature interview. He is a phenomenal “self-styled artiste.” His creativity and ability to capture the true essence of his model and what he wants them to represent is outstanding. I hope you enjoy Rob as much as I did corresponding with him and preparing his interview.
Summer is quicly drawing to a close, with a mere couple weeks left before the fall equinox arrives. I don’t know where the time is going, but all I know is that it is going by fast! However, with each month that passes, Diversity Rules Magazine is making more of an impact and is finding its way to those who need to read it.
Some changes will be coming soon too. I have plans to get Diversity Rules back in print on a limited subscription/patron basis. Also, the website will be updated. A request for proposals is being prepared and will be circulated to solicit proposals to update the site. I am looking to make it much more “chic” and “out there” and have it make more of an impact than the current site. Once a vendor is selected a fundraising campaign will be put into place to help raise the necessary funds to get the website updated as well as some other items of interest. Stay tuned for more information!
Speaking of change, I recently saw a quote on Facebook that said, “If you change nothing, nothing will change.” When I read this, it just hit me that yes, how true! If we keep doing the same things, we will get the same result.
It is important to always create change in our lives so we do not become stagnant. Once stagnation sets in, negativity creeps into our consciousness and we begin to blame others for what is happening, or not happening, to us. This is one reason why I will be making some changes to Diversity Rules in order to create some new momentum to begin to carry it to a higher level of excellence.
I have also been reflecting upon my life and where I am at the moment. There is a level of complacency and stagnation that has begun to take hold. I have decided to initiate some changes that will serve to propel me forward and create new energy to fulfill the destiny that is before me. I encourage you to do the same.
What is it that is holding you back? What do you need to change in your lives right now that will create some positive energy to propel you forward to new heights of achievement and success? Decide how you are going to approach dispelling what is holding you back and develop a plan to move yourself forward. You will not regret your decision.
Change is always painful too. Once a decision to change has been made, forces of inertia begin to swril about us to try to sway our decision and create fear within ourselves to stop what we have put into action. Do not succumb to fear and doubt nor listen to those who try to convince you to change your mind. Continue forward and embrace change courageously and without regret.
