Welcome to the September issue of Diversity Rules Magazine. It is very hard to believe that fall is upon us. Where did summer go?
This month’s cover feature interview is with Christopher Daniels, a.k.a. “Mr. International Escort” for 2013! The interview with Chris is a fun and nice diversion away from all the seriousness we face every day as queer folk
Some may ask why in heavens is there an escort/porn star on the cover? My reply is that there is nothing inherently wrong with porn… it is what it is. If people like it, they like it. Who’s to say whether it’s bad or not for someone. I am very tired of all the self-righteous people out there trying to make and force their moral decisions/opinions on others. It’s only sex people. Of course there are those with sexual addiction who just progress further into their addiction with porn, but you know that’s no different than alcohol or other forms of addiction. They tried to ban booze once and that clearly didn’t work. It’s not going to work with porn either.
Additionally, like it or not, escorting and porn are a big part of the queer tent and that’s what Diversity Rules is all about — DIVERSITY and people being free to be whomever and whatever they want. So while there may be some out there that think featuring an escort/porn star is totally disgusting, over the top, off base or whatever term they wish to use, it is in fact, a reality of our time; one which I have no grave issue with. I feature Chris proudly.
Diversity Rules Magazine is a quality publication and will continue to evolve and grow to satisfy the very diverse range of interests in the queer community. My suggestion is to take what you want, leave what you don’t want, and have an open mind to consider worlds and ideas outside your comfort zone.
